Amalgamation

The most common perception of art is limited to what can be seen on the surface of the painting, forgoing texture and the story underneath the first visible layer of paint. Before Amalgamation was given its name, I had made 2 paintings on the same canvas over the span of 6 years, between the ages 11 to 17. Other than it being a testament to my lack of commitment and constant ideas, the different paintings helped express the hard changes I was experiencing during that time. Aside from differences in art style and interest, this painting journey taught me that whenever you are unhappy with your current situation you can always start fresh and things will continue to get better.
